Governor's Message;  Leff Combs

We have a Winner!

Congratulations to all of our young future Moose members that just accomplished a memorable time in their lives. Graduating from High School is a big stepping stone towards their future. North Bay was happy to help them get on their way.

Thanks to all who will join us for our 4th of July  BBQ. We all have a good time when we have a great reason to celebrate! Good food and fun will be had by all, not to mention great fellowship!

I am sorry for Randy’s Fish Fry “rain out”, but we still packed the place with Karaoke with Steve. This is sure working and growing each month. Come enter the Moose Idol Contest, just a $1 donation and you will be voted on. The winner of each week will be entered into the finals in January. There was a tie this month, and they both
will be entered into the finals. They are Carl and Katie Sowers! You karaoke singers need to come show off your stuff and get into the finals! Don’t run out of time to get voted on , the competition is getting better each week. This is a lot of fun, so everyone come and enjoy!

Some members are receiving their newsletters ahead of you. They signed up with Steve Ur. If you do so, you will get your newsletter when it goes to print and receive Lodge activities and events from time

to time via email. Email Steve at northbaymoose@tampabay.rr.com

Your first and last name must be in this email along with your email address.

District Meeting was the best ever! Our place was packed and had to be the largest ever! It was really nice to get great compliments from our special guest David Flood. At the District Meeting, he told us we were doing it right and our participation was loved! We did our special presentation to our High School Graduates. They were Cody Clark, Tamara Clark, Logan Combs, Travis Diehl, Travis Farr, James Fisher II, Jenna Jacobson, Ryan McCullers, Nicole Redmon, and Valerie Little. Let’s keep our Lodge on top, see you at the Palm Harbor District Meeting July 13th at 12:30.

An officer’s position has opened up. We are having an election for a two year Trustee. The LOOM will have the nomination forms available from July 1st and close July 15th. The report will be given on who is running at our LOOM Meeting July 22nd and the election will be held on August 12th. Please check the Flyers at the Lodge for voting times. If you have been thinking of participating at your Lodge, this is the one way YOU can make a difference. Look for the sign, “Members only, Membership Card Required”.
The rule is, you must have your card on your possession to be in the Social Quarters. Any visitors may “visit” for three times only. Then they must join or stop “visiting”. So, please help your bartender and have your card out to save time, they are busy serving our members.

Please sign in your guests and teach them about our Privacy Policy, so when they join they will be ahead of the game.

Woman of the Moose; Terri Koltz

The hot summer days are now upon us, children are out of school. With the holiday weekend approaching , we all need to make sure we are aware of keeping our body temperatures down. Drink plenty of liquids, use sun screen and have a watchful eye out for children at play and on the road, they are our future.

We also want to do a special thanks to Lee Tarbutton and committee for the Casino Night held on June 14th, the organization of the evening
and the great prizes that were donated (not to mention the great food). The function was a huge success and enjoyed by everyone. Thank you all again for stepping up and doing such a great job!

Start making plans to attend the great Margaritaville Party being held on July 19th. Deb Farr and committee have a special evening planned to give you the feeling of being in Key West with Jimmy Buffet. See the advertisement around the lodge for more details on the evening.
Thank you Lesley Combs for the May WOTM Raffle Basket donation.

Congratulations to Rita Blair! All proceeds were donated to Yellow Stone Youth Conservation. Rita Blair donated the basket for June. All proceeds were donated to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Youth Ranch.

Congratulations to Ellen Lichtenberger and thank you everyone for your support in raising funds for a needy cause. A special recognition goes out to Sherri McCullers for receiving her College of Regent Award and Ellen Lichtenberger for receiving her

Star Recorder. This special honor only shows how much you both do for your Chapter.

Congratulations to Lee Tarbutton for being recognized as the Volunteer of the Month. Your dedication to your chapter and community has been greatly appreciated.

Plan on attending the Chapter Night on the 1st Wednesday of the month. This night is now a combination of Chapter and Business
meeting. Please come and welcome our new co-workers and enjoy an evening of fun and games. The winner of the Chapter trivia game for June was Rita Blair who won a gift certificate to Randy’s famous Fish Fry.

District Meeting was a great turnout at our Lodge. The women took home the honors and kept North Bay #1 in attendance. Please support your Lodge on July 13th at Palm Harbor. Let’s keep our Lodge #1!
